Story

Railroad Tiles is a quick-playing tile placement game for 1 to 4 players from the creators of the critically acclaimed roll & write series Railroad Ink™. Pick tiles and place routes to build an interconnected community! Place cars, trains, and travelers on your network and enlarge your cities to collect points, but you will be penalized if you leave too many open connections, so plan carefully.

Although inspired by the Railroad Ink series, Railroad Tiles is a completely new game.

If you are a fan of the Ink games, the evolution of the same kind of networking challenges that you will find in Railroad Tiles is sure to please you.

If, on the other hand, you are unfamiliar with Railroad Ink or found it too simple, there is still a great chance that you will enjoy this more strategic variant.

A game of Railroad Tiles is played over 8 rounds. The goal is to create an interconnected transportation network of railways and highways, build cities, and place cars, trains, and travelers on the network to populate your landscape and score points.

At the beginning of each round, sets of tiles are randomly drawn from the bag and placed on the board. Then, players pick their set with a quick draft. But watch out! The more tiles you take, the later you choose in the next round!

Place the tiles in front of you to create your own transportation network! Try to make as many connections as possible, but be careful not to create overly constraining layouts that are difficult to expand further!

Look at the available placements and populate your landscape with cars, trains, or travelers... if you've prepared in advance and have room to put them! The more pieces of the same kind each new placement connects to, the more points you get when you place it!

Bonus points can also be earned at the end of the game for placing tiles in a large rectangle without gaps, and for each group of at least 3 Town tiles. With every move, you're building a game that's not just fun to play, but beautiful to behold!
