Story

Garphill Games, in association with our international partners are proud to bring you Gates of Gold and Keeper of Keys, plus the Collector's Box for Viscounts of the West Kingdom.

Kickstarter or retail? Gates of Gold, Keeper of Keys, and the Collector's Box will all be coming to retail in various languages. There are no exclusive items in this Kickstarter campaign. If you'd prefer to wait for the items to become available in retail, we are 100% okay with that. Please just choose whichever option works best for you. We don't want anyone to feel pressured into backing this campaign in fears that they might miss out on some exclusive content.

In Viscounts of the West Kingdom: Gates of Gold, people from near and far have come to see the splendor of our great city. While most are traders and labourers, eager to make a home for themselves, others seem to have more devious intentions. Can we really trust those who once attacked our walls? Do they truly desire peace? The King has sent his orders, but we will decide who may stay and who must go.

• New card types for players to add to their decks: King's Orders and Outsiders
• Manuscript Boards for housing transcribed Manuscripts, and unlocking new abilities
• Six Castle Leader cards, and new Building Bonus Cards to add more competition and new strategies
• More Heroes, Townsfolk, and Manuscripts

Components

In Viscounts of the West Kingdom: Keeper of Keys, tensions continue to rise in the King’s court. Some choose to plot in secret, forging alliances with like-minded officials. Others seek out treasures and secrets hidden deep within the castle walls. Will you remain loyal to the very end, or take your future into your own hands?

Key Changes:

• Thick player boards with slots for housing the new Chest Tiles, which add a new element to the tableau management for players to explore
• Three public Buildings for players to compete over constructing, each with their own unique in-game abilities and bonus rewards
• Mechanisms for players to gain more Hero Townsfolk into their deck, providing even more power turns and possible combos
• Three replacement starting Townsfolk for each player
• More Heroes, Townsfolk, Player Cards, and Manuscripts

Components

This Collector's Box is designed to fit Viscounts, Gates of Gold, Keeper of Keys, and all additional content, such as promos and metal coins. And yes, it fits sleeved cards. See the unboxing/reboxing video below. The box is the same size as the Collector's Boxes for Raiders of the North Sea and Paladins of the West Kingdom (295x295x69mm).

Free Crossover Promo Pack

Included inside every copy of the Collector's Box are 12 promo items: 4 Outsiders, 4 Hero Townsfolk, and 4 Chest Tiles. All of these items require both Gates of Gold and Keeper of Keys to function, as they tie together elements from both expansions.

For those not interested in getting the Collector's Box, we should have a small amount of these promos available in our Promo Store later this year. They are not available separately for this Kickstarter campaign.

Custom-build your pledge!

All items from the King pledge are available as individual add-ons. First, select which reward tier above best suits what you are after. If you're not sure, just select "Keeper" or "Goldsmith". From there you can add any number of add-ons in your chosen quantity. Kickstarter already adds the full shipping cost for your region automatically as well - so there's no complicated equations or hidden costs to figure out.

No pledge manager

We will not be using a pledge manager or allowing any additional items to be added once the campaign has ended. So make sure you finalize your pledge with ALL add-on items before the campaign ends.

Pledge FAQ

• You cannot have multiple languages as part of the same pledge. Any add-ons you include will be provided in the same language as your base pledge.
• Each copy of Architects will include the 2018 KS Promos (excluding the tax stand), provided in a separate bag.
• Each copy of Paladins will include the 2019 KS Promos inside the box (in a separate bag for French/Portuguese).
• Each copy of Tomesaga and the Collector's Boxes will include their respective promos inside their boxes.
•  Groups:  Over the past 7 years we have always looked to improve how we handle larger group pledges. We want to offer the best prices, while keeping everything running smoothly for fulfillment. Therefore, we have set a lower price for all add-on items, regardless of the total quantity. There are no extra shipping fees for add-ons. There will not be any further discounts beyond this.
•  Retailers: We will not be taking orders for retailers in this campaign. We recommend going through normal distribution channels.

All shipping rates are automatically added as you select your Reward Level. You will not be charged additional shipping fees by us after the campaign ends.

• Garphill Games will handle production and fulfillment of all English versions.
• Pixie Games will handle production and fulfillment of all French versions. The French edition is only available in France, Luxembourg, Belgium and Switzerland.
• Mosaico Jogos will handle production and fulfillment of all Portuguese versions. The Portuguese edition is only available in Portugal and Brazil. All Portuguese copies will be sent using a tax-friendly shipping option.

Other Languages

Other language versions will also be produced on a similar schedule, but are not available through this Kickstarter campaign. This includes German, Italian, Spanish, Polish, Hungarian, Czech, Dutch, Chinese, Thai, Japanese, Korean, and more. If you would prefer one of these languages, you will need to wait for the retail release in your country.
