Players create their own kingdoms by skillfully placing their settlements on the game board map, aiming to earn the most gold at the end of the game.
The game board is constructed from 4 randomly chosen boards, each with a unique special ability the players may earn. In addition, there are six different terrain types, as well as castles (how could you build a kingdom without a castle?) which generate gold for players who have settlements adjacent to them at the end of the game.
During a player's turn, a player plays their terrain card and builds three settlements on three hexes (one per hex) of that terrain. If possible, a new settlement must be built next to one of that player’s existing settlements. When building next to a location, the player may claim a special action tile from that location which may be used during a future turn. These action tiles allow the player to take an special action ,such as moving one of the player's settlements.
Gold will be earned by meeting the conditions of the three Kingdom Builder cards, which are different every game; these three cards specify the gold-earning conditions of the game. Examples include the Fisherman - which gives you one gold for each settlement built next to a water hex, and Citizens - which gives you one gold for every two settlements you have in your largest area.
To minimize delays, for this project we have moved to a One-Stop shipping solution. This means that we will pack all pledges (Worldwide) at our warehouses, and send them directly to you, the backer. This way if there are any issues with packages or addresses, it will be easier to resolve.
US Tariffs - The status & details on US Tariffs are currently a shifting landscape. We don't anticipate shipments from this campaign being assessed any additional tariffs. However, if that changes, backers will not have to pay them, as we will pay any extra costs.
