We just wanted to send another update about these items to keep everyone in the loop, as the production has been a significantly higher hurdle than I had anticipated, given our experience producing other types of items, so it has taken far longer than planned. The issue stems from it being vacuum formed plastic. Previously, Noah (owner of Game Trayz) made Game Trayz in his garage on his own machine, giving him a ton of control over the product and its quality. However, when we made the shift to mass production, we found that every factory that makes these products is accustomed to it being used in packaging, and packaging doesn't require things to be perfect. However, in this case, the plastic *is* the product, and thus requires higher standards than most factories are accustomed to dealing with. The factory has been great at improving the processes, and gaining an understanding that the trays are the final product, and not just packaging material. But, just as it appeared everything was all set, there also ended up being a hurdle in the project manager assigned to our project departing the plastics company, and with him, some of the knowledge he had about the specific requirements of our product. So, we had to re-make up some of the progress that had been made with the previous manager. In the end, we'll have a good product, and the factory will be better equipped to handle future products going forward. I do apologize that the growing pains have taken much longer than I'd anticipated, but we're making sure we get a quality product rather than rushing it out. It sounds like they're barely missing Chinese New Year, which will unfortunately cause another delay as everything shuts down. However, we'll absorb the expense of air shipping this stuff over once it's finished rather than waiting on a boat, which will gain us a month+ back. The wait has been far too long, and I want to make the rest of the wait as short as possible. Thanks for sticking with us on this!
